I'm a mechanical engineer with a strong belief that innovative design follows from practical experience — and from simply making things yourself. I have spent years working hands-on with conventional machines at Prodrive Technologies alongside my studies, which shaped how I approach design: grounded, manufacturable, and focused on what actually works.

I completed my MSc in Mechanical Engineering at TU/e (cum laude internships at both EPC and TNO) and I'm currently a PhD candidate at the Control Systems Technology group under Prof. Maarten Steinbuch, working on precision mechatronics for ASML-related high-tech systems. The problems I find most interesting sit at the intersection of conceptual design, precision mechanics, and real-world constraints.

Through Thalomex I make this experience available to companies that need a sharp engineer quickly — without the overhead of a large firm.

Where my knowledge comes from

Mechanical Design Engineer (Industry)

Prodrive Technologies · 2020–2024 · 4 years

Part-time mechanical design engineer at Prodrive Technologies alongside my BSc and MSc studies. Worked on precision mechatronic systems using NX Unigraphics, building practical expertise in design for manufacturability in a high-tech production environment.

Deployment mechanism for the Keck II telescope's adaptive secondary mirror (MSc Thesis)

TNO · 2023–2024 · Grade: 9.5/10

Developed a mechanical validation model for the deployment mechanism of the potential adaptive secondary mirror of the Keck II telescope, investigating the structural implications of using CFRP for its backing structure. Graduated with a 9.5.
